Youth camp

The Youth Camp of the 2022 WFCP World Congress is a residential retreat for students.

Participants engage in social activities, discussions on issues facing the world, and develop a statement as “The Voice of the Youth” that is presented to the World Congress attendees.

The camp starts on Sunday 12 of June and concludes on Friday 17 of June 2022.

Programme

Objectives

• Engage professional and technical education students in relevant discussions and debates on the position and role of students in professional and technical education globally
• Understand the way that students will engage in the rapidly changing world of work
• Embed the voice of students in the World Congress
• Enable professional and technical students to make connections with other students from across the globe and experience other cultures

Participants

The Young Camp is limited to 50 participants.

Young Camp participants need to:

• Be enrolled in, or completed in the twelve months prior to the retreat post school professional or technical qualification from any discipline area
• Have displayed commitment to the skills they are acquiring through their qualification
• Be sponsored by their home association or institute
• Communicate effectively in English
• Be over 18 years of age with a general upper age limit of 30 years

The WFCP aims for a diverse range of participants from various backgrounds, which includes a balance across gender and nationalities. We also welcome students with disabilities.
